Statue is a bit overkill maybe.

But all those (swearing) emo's who think they suddenly have to hate Gaile for some unexplained reason, need to shut up..

People make mistakes, so what?

You cut your wrists, I'm not complaining about that either...

So? People can't get paid for things they enjoy doing?

/signed wholeheartedly, if only for all the "omg whens hairdresser coming out" spam Gaile got. The endless crap she had to wade through and still have the sense to stay with it for so long is admirable, and the game is much better off having had her as a PR manager.

even though she did a great job, this has nothing to do with lore or the GW world

How about Gaile Gray gets her own special monument in her own hall of monuments?

Really she did a fine job, but a statue in game because shes changing positions......its not like shes actually leaving us.

Andrew's statue could be somewhere in the Isle of the Nameless...

The difference between somebody doing something and seeing them is beyond you.
All my guildmates see me pretty often. I want 2 statues.

While Gaile may have done a considerable ammount in helping with this game, I am quite certain that she was paid well for this job that she had. I also look at the time period and see that it is only for 3 years (really a little under). If she had done this job for 10-20 years I might consider it (yes I realize that 10-20 years in a gaming industry is forever). She could have simply migrated to GW2 on its release as well. I understand that she is not leaving Anet, simply moving to a different position, as I have done in my job as well (3 positions of increasing responsibility in 3 years). I think that this would be unfair to whoever is replacing her as the CRM.

This would be better than a statue IMO; a Gaile Henchie.

IF we were to get a Statue, I would go for the Froggie Statue.

Sorry, but I personally can't find a reason to care one way or another about this. It's so insignificantly dumb. I mean, seriously, whenever anyone quits, is there going to be a statue? Seriously, she sat behind a computer wielding a nerf bat that seemed to be swung in my direction more often than not.

More than that she's doing exactly the same job pretty much but with a fancier title. Newly created... Really they just wanted to give her a 'promotion' and so created a new title so she could continue doing largely the same job. If someone could explain to me how "ArenaNet Support Liaison" is any different to "Customer Relations" I would be most intrigued...

She's not going anywhere guys...get over it.

/notsigned. If dedication to a game meant an ingame statue as a reward, then (1)she should be looking for another company that can reward her properly for her work, and (2)our game files would become ridiculous for every anet employee that really, really cares about the game, no really.

... if we can get male characters with their butt-cheeks showing under those hose they wear. Where is the eye-candy for the ladies, hmmmmm?

GuildWars is a fantasy game world. Fantasy by definition is "the imagining of improbable or impossible things" and "a genre of imaginative fiction involving magic and adventure"
- askoxford.com

I mean, come on...we ALL know that half-clad females being pounded on by huge feline warriors is completely unrealistic and fits no rw lore I've ever heard of. RW women are smart enough not to risk any appendage being chopped off - in a real fight - just to show it/them off.

So people want a monument - 'tis okay by me. Gaile was here from the beginning and I figure that the woman must really like helping people to have lasted as long as she did.
